Process Engineer is responsible for the development, improvement, and optimization of production processes with the aim of increasing efficiency, quality, safety, and sustainability of manufacturing. The role involves active participation in the introduction of new technologies and projects, application of Lean methodologies, and ensuring a stable and standardized production flow.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, development, adaptation, and optimization of existing and new production processes, parameters, and materials in line with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Organization, monitoring, and improvement of production flow in accordance with applicable standards, ensuring smooth execution of production plans.
  • Leadership in the development and implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Identification of bottlenecks, losses, and deviations in processes, and definition and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Application of Lean methodologies and tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma) to reduce waste, increase productivity, and standardize processes.
  • Leading and participating in Kaizen initiatives and continuous improvement projects (CIP).
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams (production, quality, engineering, logistics, planning) as well as with other locations within the group.
  • Communication and cooperation with customers regarding process improvements, complaint reduction, and implementation of required measures.
  • Collection, analysis, and interpretation of process and production data, as well as monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Preparation of technical documentation, reports, and presentations for management.
  • Evaluation and implementation of automation, digital solutions, and advanced manufacturing technologies, while monitoring industry trends.
  • Training, technical support, and coaching of production employees, actively contributing to a positive and team-oriented working environment.
  • Resolution of escalated process and production issues in cooperation with relevant departments.

 

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

  • A Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in manufacturing or the automotive industry.
  • Experience in leading process improvement projects, optimizing production flows, and implementing Lean methodologies.
  • Experience in new product and process development, including integration of advanced technologies.

 

Education:

  • University degree in Process Engineering
  • Advanced certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process optimization methodologies are considered a strong advantage.

 

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of process modeling and simulation tools, as well as data analysis and reporting software (e.g. Excel, Minitab).
  • Experience working with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and process design tools.
  • Knowledge of automation systems and emerging manufacturing technologies.

Languages

  • Fluency in English (C1 level) is required.
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage, but not required

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle different priorities.
